When is a certificate of liability insurance needed?
Question by HSLLC: When is a certificate of liability insurance needed?
I have contractors that do physical work on properties we have projects on, labs that we send samples to, rental places that send equipment to us, and other various types of vendors.
Are certificate of liability insurance only needed from those who do work on the properties?
Sorry, I'm new at this.

No need to apologize. Yes, your contractors should have liability insurance bonds - and so should you. It's part of running a business. One never knows when, if, or why some customer decides to file a lawsuit for whatever reason. If the court decides in their favor if it comes to that, that's when having liability insurance comes into play.
