Thousands told NO INSURANCE UNLESS YOU GET STERILISED

In testimony that Maryland Senator Barbara Mikulski called bone-chilling, Colorado mom Peggy Robertson recently shared with a Senate committee the unbelievable story of how a major health insurance carrier refused to insure her and what they suggested she do to make herself eligible for coverage. In 2007, Robertson was denied coverage by Golden Rule Insurance, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group. In a letter explaining the denial, the company claimed that Robertsons previous C-section made her a financial risk for the company. If she had another C-section within the first three years of coverage, the company would not profit from her policy. It was a risk they werent willing to take and because the Colorado Insurance Division would not allow them to exclude C-section benefits for the first three years, they denied her coverage altogether. Robertsons story may sound all too familiar, but unfortunately it doesnt end there. In that same letter, Golden Rule went on to suggest what Robertson might do to make herself eligible for coverage: Get sterlized. That an insurance company would dare to even hint that a healthy woman should be medically sterilized so they can make a profit is, in the words of Senator Mikulski, morally repugnant. But lets face it, women already get the short end of the stick when it comes to health care coverage. Possessing a womb makes us a liability in the eyes of insurers and more than half of them dont even offer maternity coverage. Those who do will ...

  2. Do not take the picture NB swine flu “And sterilization seems a bit excessive for a form of birth control! Do not take the picture NB swine flu! Donate to your political representative” He said his safe and is a good idea!

  3. I guess this woman will have to push the baby out the old fashioned way !
it is a bit painful, so i am told !
but has a very good success rate, its been tried and tested for at least 5000 years and usually has no complaints !
    and requires no insurance !
I wonder when Holy Mary was visited by the Angel Gabriel !
Did she ask ” is this covered by my HMO and can i get a C-section ”
Because Joe and I have not got it on yet, and he says he is not interested if my flaps go all floppy !

  4. What’s that dull?

  5. typical woman, husband and hooks to try to do a women instead of a problem people.

  6. One hundred years ago, the electric telegraph made possible – indeed inevitable – the United States of America. The communications satellite will also inevitably United Nations Earth; Hopefully the transition will not be as bloody. (Arthur C. Clarke) Some 60 million? Plains Indians were removed in a way or autre.Avec chips, RFID and control of people and suppression technology, tame the Internet, few (2%) will be able to control the rest as slaves in total 24 / 7

  7. You know, this is just like the federal income tax. If everyone who is healthy would stop buying insurance and would put the money that they use for insurance into a separate account just for medical emergencies, then the health industry would have to change, and for OUR BENEFIT. Let’s get GOVERNMENT and BIG BUSINESS out of our personal lives! STOP TRYING TO CONTROL US!

  8. What the hell? Here in Canada we had two boys. My wife had them naturally even though they were over 9 pounds. They sent a nurse to our home each time. The second time we had a child the doctor and the nurse gave me a hard time about having a vasectomy. These people worry about medical expenses and world population.

  9. Ozobies Plan see Video> Negro Project

  10. dont let the drs deceive you! theres plenty of videos of women safely having VBACs on youtube. some have home births after 3Csecs.

drs are ok for emergencies, but they tend to cause complications to normal pregnancies with their impatience & interference, which is why a lot of women are getting Csecs to begin with.

an increasing # of women are educating themselves & taking control of their births & their bodies.

if you want that baby have it!

God said be fruitful & multiply :D

  11. That’s if you buy it on your own. Most people get it through their job which will run them out of pocket $100 to $200 a month. I pay $36 a month plus a $20 co-pay whenever I go to the doctor. I figured out how to be healthy and just stopped going to the doctor. My employer pays $5500 a year for my health insurance. If I wanted Free Market Health Insurance, I can pay $1200 a yr for a doctor who will make house calls, but this doesn’t include medication or lab tests. my advise, stay healthy.

  12. wtf, really. their écrous, my place I live in Europe, like his 100 $ per 1 year. whore!

  13. then to be satisfied with the two contrary à the octomom. With regard to l' insurance. sad sad sad

  14. How about Freedom? I’m so sick of the third party payer, let’s get the Big Insurance companies and government out of health care and have people pay their doctors themselves. I’m so sick of asking my doctor how much a procedure is and he doesn’t have anyway of knowing. It’s stupid, third party payers drive up the prices of health care.

  15. About $6000 to $7000 for an individual

  16. What is the price of health insurance on average in the country? Can someone tell me please. . . Thank you and peace

  17. Thank you ghostgate82, I think that sometimes it is easier to outwards see more clearly in progress on research Po xx bb55

  18. Of course, I’m sure the insurance company pays for the Sections C and if you had access to such data, you would see that racial discrimination pure.Les prices are too high, for exactly the reason for the interference from the insurance company, first lieu.Aller a doctor who does not accept insurance.

  19. You do not inquiétez the guy, Merci à our ALL government will be stérilisés and do not know us même not.

  20. Yes UkTruthseeker2009, and my heart goes out to any Woman faced with a life inside her that she can’t have because some fat cat Insurance co CEO says NO, maybe they are the baby killers that should be hated not the Woman who has to make choices based on money. I believe that Women should have choice but this takes it away from them. Medical care should not be about money it should be about need.

  21. beltanebabe55 speaks the truth. If anyone doubts what she is saying, they are delusional to how things actually work in this (USA) country. Greed has destroyed everything good in this country (and the world). Whoever denies this needs their IQ checked. Thanks.

  22. Oh yes your right ,It is just when you die.
They are making life difficult for Americans to live and from research it s going to get worse. It as to be stopped and it will have a knock on effect on the world .

  23. You disagree with what? Nothing that I said advocates unnecessary C sections, however, it cannot be denied that there are instances where C sections are a life and death matter. I’m simply stating that the majority of unnecessary C sections are not done because doctors are trying to make more money. Doctors are protecting themselves from potential lawsuits. Malpractice litigation is what needs to be reformed in healthcare.

  24. CommanderUTube Well, if everybody in health care United States had paid taxes instead of private companies as we do in the UK, this would mean that if the woman became pregnant and needed to Section C, it would get one because health care is what is best for the patient and had nothing to do with profits. Health care in the United States is rationed by the cooperation of insurance and if you look at what the CEO to pay (adult), you will understand why. The whole system is criminal and needs total reform.

  25. I do not know but in any case UkTruthSeeker2009 life insurance only pays if you die, it does not cover medical expenses. As I see people in the U.S. have no freedom unless they are rich and very rich people because of the suffering of other peoples. Thats not freedom thats slavery with a smiling face x bb55
