Q&A: Why do Conservatives want insurance workers making life or death decisions?
Question by : Why do Conservatives want insurance workers making life or death decisions?
How would Government run health care be any worse if a Government worker were to make a decision or the insurance person who is only concerned about making a profit.
No one seriously believes that insurance executives, who tell their workers to NOT cover as many conditions as possible have the best interest of the patient in their mind.
We already have death panels, being "denied" for a heart transplant by an insurance person who knows nothing about you, nor cares. The Government would not do this. But no one said Republicans can think for themselves. Look at their candidates. Enough said.

Because the odds of Medicare or Medicaid denying a procedure is multiples of the odds a private insurer would deny a procedure.

They think if the terminally ill would just die off, then their premium rates would stay the same? Maybe I am not being facetious. It kind of sounds like their penny pinching logic.

You are absolutely correct. That’s why Sarah Palin’s talk of death panels was so incredibly stupid.

LOL. The government cannot even operate a service to deliver the mail efficiently and you think they should be making decisions about our health.

Very good question. If Democrats had a clue about how to craft their message they would have driven this point home.
