PUBLIC OPTION BACK ! RISING OUT OF THE ASHES LIKE A PHOENIX
I have to admit, I thought the public option was dead ? However, it seems like it's rising out of the ashes of congress like a phoenix . Myself and other liberals had been fighting among each other on how to go about health care reform . Some were for the public option or nothing at all . At first I took this stand . Then there were some who said let's pass the senate bill through and fix it through reconciliation . I changed my view then to agree with this tactic . Now the tides are changing back again for the public option . Now I'm back to where I started, HA.... I mean if reconciliation is the only way we can pass this bill now, let's pass it the way we want it . Let's pass a public option ! A majority supports the public option . How ever with out it, that majority lead falls away . If the Democrats want to save their ass come election time, they should pass a public option bill . This will also energize our base for a fight, which the right will sure put one up . Ultimately, the Democratic party will win, the sick, under insured, uninsured, our economy, will all win . The losers will be the greedy insurance companies and the obstructionist pro- corporation greedy Republicans . To my fellow Democrats, should congress pass this public option bill, you better get off your ass and fight ! I mean go to town hall meetings, call your congressman, just be active this time ! No one is going to give us anything ! We have to fight for it ! Link below..... 1. www.huffingtonpost.com

liberty. liberty to succeed. liberty to fail. i have been knocked on my ass plenty of times. when i lived in a shelter there were so many people that lent me a hand that i can’t even remember. i am thankful and when i can i return the favor. that is society. that is humanity. that is liberty.
government can’t lend a hand. it has none. it can only give you what it steals and it steals everything. your money, your dignity, your self respect.
ps sir, thank you for your service.

@theMETALDOVE I’m with ya on that. I believe in taking care of oneself, I neither need nor want the gov. or a body of individuals that hold different views telling me what to do. If I am harming no one, than stay out of my business. Liberals seem to believe that health care is a given right. What they fail to understand is its their place to insure it, not get it from a government handout. They aren’t happy unless the government holds their hands trough out their entire life.

“give me liberty or give me death”—–the modern liberal wants both of these things and he wants them as part of the “robust public option”. how can they be so wrong?
so inconsistent? “keep your laws off my body!”
so what is it? laws off the body or laws on the body?
October 22nd, 2010 - 09:07
@ theMETALDOVE, you are completely correct, but you are wasting your breath if you think you can get through to liberals. They prefer a nanny state, and somehow believe that health insurance is owed to them. They don’t understand the concept of free market. The fail to understand that at the turn of the century, before the AMA, and gov. intervention health care was affordable. So they want more of what ruined it in the first place.

For all of us who want a public option, it is important that we let s? Nateursqui have signed? know that we support them in this effort.Les politicians are probably used to get comments n? ative on the things they do, but I think they should? also obtain? positive thing when they do the right thing . I call? s my office? ordinators and thanked him? for the signature on the public option. Had he not signed? agreement, I expressed? my d? Sir it does.

See Paul Krugman’s article in the New York Times for Feb. 20. Thoughtful, well argued, and concludes this is one option that must be put back on the table.
