North Carolina’s Donald Sullivan says the Constitution gives us the right to travel ~ Wins in Court
In this troubleshooters report: A Pender County man who refuses to get a license plate, registration, or insurance on his truck. Donald Sullivan says the Constitution gives us the right to travel the public highways, and he shouldn't be charged or regulated for simply exercising his right. You might be surprised to hear a judge ruled in his favor. Sullivan said, "I can govern myself. And America is about self-government." "If a person proves he's responsible, leave him alone, he can govern himself, he doesn't need to be bothered by the government," said Sullivan. Donald Sullivan isn't your typical guy. The retired Air Force Lt. Colonel voted for Ron Paul in the recent election, and says our government has gotten too far away from the republic our forefathers founded. "We don't have control over our own property anymore, our own lives, our own anything. The state regulates and taxes everything," said Sullivan. Sick of the government micromanaging his life, Mr. Sullivan staged a unique form of protest. There's no state issued license plate on his truck. You won't find an inspection sticker either. Sullivan says he doesn't need them and he's been driving around without them for the last year and a half. Sullivan said, "I wanted to get a ticket, and I wanted to have the vehicle impounded, and I wanted to be arrested, because you have to be standing in a court to pursue these kinds of questions." His problem was going to court in the first place. He should have sent a notarized letter to the Court with a 10-day response time, asking (in legal language) exactly how he had “victimized” the State.
The State is claiming to be an injured party, for someone who is not driving commercially according to their own rules!

Common Law rights are not blanket coverage, there needs to be personal research and claims to back it up. First one must establish their status, i. e. Citizen or citizen etc. . . Most common mistakes are disclosing/possessing evidences of government contracts (D/Ls – SS# – birth cert. – marriage lic. ) any one of which identifies you as subject to be governed. Traffic cops are only providing the services that you agreed/contracted them to perform, by signing the D/L contract. OH you didn’t read it.

PEOPLE: SULLIVAN LOST. Mr. Sullivan was quoted again after that took place. He was recognized guilty by a judge, then he appeals and was recognized guilty by a jury, then he again appeals and the verdict was confirmed by the court d' call. It lost. @worryphree I’m a libertarian so I wish Sullivan had won but the lawyer is not lying. Precedent was not set and the law was not ruled unconstitutional. Sullivan was simply found not guilty of violating the statute in THAT particular instance. He lost afterwards when he was retried.

I am living in North Carolina and I’m NOT a Carolinian! I was a NC State employee when I first moved down and smelled a rat immediately in Gov. Weasly. As a matter of fact that dick tried to get me fired when I criticized him publicly. Now he’ll be lucky to stay out of jail for his actions while in office. One thing I was appalled at was that he is named as “His Excellency” on NC deeds (I bought property for the state. )! That is an OUTRAGE and a joke. “Excellency” my ass! FMOTL.
