If I buy a new used car will my liability insurance cover this one automatically?
Question by Glenn M: If I buy a new used car will my liability insurance cover this one automatically?
I'm thinking about replacing my current car on which I currently have liability insurance through Progressive. There are two things I'd like to know that I've have trouble figuring out on their website.
First, if I replace the car and now only have one car will the old insurance still be applicable to it? If so, for how long and is it equal in liability coverages?
Second, if I keep the car I have now so when I buy the new one I have two cars then would the liability cover both?

Once you get the new car, call them and add it the policy and take the old car off.

you have to call your insurance company and take the first car off and add the second, if you keep the first you have to add the second car to your policy

Call them and add the new car to your coverage, and cancel the coverage on the other car. The premium will increase or decrease depending on the year/make/model.
If you keep both cars, then premium may double.
So simple even a caveman can do it.
