How do you get paid when selling home insurance?

I'm considering getting into the insurance field but I know a little more before going through licensing. I try to establish long-term residual income and was informed by selling insurance @ home 30 years a pop given my clients stay with me I could get there. I am bilingual and can generate leads and to understand some agents may even work part time from home. Can someone please explain a common pay scale on a house policy that is $ 100,000 which goes to the full 30 years. Thank you
