I want to get life insurance for my pup
Nope I meant Life insurance. Thanks for the advice I will check my home owners policy and make sure.
It's my moms dog and I pay her insurances so it shouldn't be to hard to check.

to the best of my knowledge, there is no such thing as "life insurance". If there was such a thing, it would be too easy for people to cash in on something like that.

Dogs are considered property.. you could include your dog into your property insurance, but all you'd be able to claim is the actual value of your dog.
