You mean psychotropic medications, right? Heart medication for a heart patient might be the right course of treatment. However, does drugging, so as to alter one’s personality (as neuroleptics do) constitute “treatment” or, “getting the treatment”. Remember, the paradigm informing the behavioral sciences has little or no basis in medical or scientific fact. It is, foremost, a means of social control, where the individual is to be remediated-and readmitted-into society, cured or “treated”.

Substance abuse disorder? The taking of drugs, outside of the accepted pharmacological rubric, is seen as a disease. This is what the entirity of the psych profession concerns itself with: the moral stamp of acceptable and unacceptable behavior, and their respective treatments. And pseudo-medical mystification and obfuscation continues to justify the present course of labeling “good” and “bad” behaviors, as medical issues, rather than what they (behaviors, beliefs and values) really are.

You? Your certainly not alone, it makes me pass? Re when people (still without ADHD-through) try to tell me that I should stop? Ter take it too? S rious. Or worse? Flat deny its existence. If we had a visibly significant disability as Down Syndrome or? Taient invalid without one would dare say that we did all that. Therefore it is very? S important for people with ADHD? speak because the info in the m? dias really stoichiometric r? OTYP_ID? are no leads and that? more confusion for people without ADHD!

Im so glad to here that! Its exactly the same , Take this for example: My dad is suffering from coughing, we dont really know why but whatever, The doctors thinks “OFC he needs meds, because he’ll throw up every morning of coughing to much” and they give him something for his throat. Everybody understands that he needs meds, Because its physical. BUT, When it comes to me with my “psycho” meds, People try to make me stop takin them:P Why? I have ADHD and i NEED Concerta.
Im not alone then, buddy

Concerta, ritalin and everything like that isnt like DRUGS! ffs! I’m using concerta because of my adhd, and i feel so much better than i did before. Its not a high dose of the “drug” thing in it. you cant get high on it, if you are taking the dose that works for you.
