Debt recovery auto insurance?
I bought auto insurance a few months ago. I told them I wanted assurance that for a month and they sold it to me. I paid like $ 60 for it. They then sent me insurance for a year and had Monthly payment plan on it. I simply ignored. Later, they start sending me letters to pay my balance. Now I received a letter from a debt collector for $ 51.46. Should I just ignore this because it is a small amount? Should I call the insurance company and tell them what happened? I told them that I wanted it for a month, they should not do that.
I understand that car insurance premiums and health are not passive .... Insurance coverage is neither a loan nor a revolving line of credit. If you stop paying the coverage stops .... your policy is canceled and that the claims filed are rejected. I am not aware that they have the right to send missed premium payments to a debt collector ... this is the first time I heard of this before.
