Cost of living in Canada, Ontario.?
Hello, My husband and I intend to do in Barrie, Ontario. My husband was born in Canada but left when he was a teenager. He currently works for a computer firm as a computer technician with experience of 10 years. I am a veterinary assistant, although I have not received formal training. I also worked in an office environment, and have great references from my former employer. We would like to know what are our chances if we were to move to Canada. Would we be able to live comfortably with average incomes? What would be left behind taxes have been deducted from our wages? Would it be enough to cover rent and other expenses? And how much auto insurance at medium? At least One of us will need a car. My husband has been driving for 15 years, and has a criminal record. We wish to rent first before buying our own house. Would the monthly mortgage payments too high for a modest house? We have $ 27,000 USD for a deposit. Please advise! Thank you
Hey there. we moved to Barrie from United Kingdom in March and its been a real revelation! your husbands driving record United Kingdom means nothing insurance companies really have your pants and you can expect to pay nearly 10 times what you pay in the United Kingdom. rent will approximately $ 1200 per month. with the first and last payment required up front with the most homeowners are expecting a 12-month lease. doesn't work experience count for infinite and it is to see if your qualifications are recognized in Canada, even then resumes are ignored if you havnt had the experience of all Canadian important. Tax is another thing that the provinces and the federal government love to take you're finally at most banks and mortgage want between 25% - 35% down payment for newly arrived immigrants. Do not let this put you off, I thought you should know the truth rather the sugar coating of Barrie is a very beautiful place with beautiful people in it and we hope to stay here for the foreseeable future Hope this helps
